Indian Air Force
The Indian Air force is the air arm of the country. Indian Airforce is ranked to be the fourth best in the world. The primary duty and mission for the Indian Airforce are to protect the Indian air.
During the world war II, on 8th October 1932, the Indian Air Warriors or the Indian Airforce were officially established.
Even after India got independence from the United Kingdom in 1947, the Indian Air-force continued its service to the nation in the name of dominion.
Since 1950 the IAF has been concerned in four wars with neighbour Asian country and one with the People’s Republic of China. other major operations undertaken by the IAF include Operation Vijay, Operation Meghdoot, Operation cactus and Operation Poomalai.
Air Force Day 2017 – October 8 (Sunday)
The Indian Air Force or the Bhartiya Vayu Sena is the air arm of the Indian defence force. the Central Air Command will celebrate the 85th day of remembrance of Indian Air Force with great enthusiasm and fervour at numerous Air Stations in the country on Oct eight.
The Air Force Parade marks the start of the celebration on October 8. All Air Force stations conduct their individual parades at their air bases. the standard military parade follows an equivalent protocol.
Once the parade marches into the parade ground, it’s customary for all attendees to rise in its honour and every one uninformed air personnel will salute the parade.
Celebrations of Air Force Day
There is a meticulously conducted hollow sq. parade during which the Commander in Chief administers the oath of allegiance to any or all the air warriors similarly because the civilian personnel for dedicating their lives to the larger and far larger reason for the state. The wreath laying and the oath-taking ceremony is sometimes the highlights of the celebrations that are conducted in full military traditions. This event marks the shut of a week-long celebration organized within the run-up to the Air Force day.
