Airtel Payments Bank to woo new customers
Airtel Payments Bank CEO Shashi Arora said,”Our unbanked customers who have an annual income less than Rs. 2 lac are required to fill Form 60 to enroll in our bank. After this, they can have easy payment options at HPCL petrol pumps”. Also, the Bank customers can use their ATM points on those Petrol Pumps which are a surplus of cash. This kind of new payment option is likely to increase the customer base of APB. As a matter of fact, the APB is recording over 1 million transactions per day. In the coming time, this bank is likely to increase its customer base to people all over India. Apart from petrol pump payments, payment options for other utilities like electricity, water, recharges and bill payment is also available. Furthermore, many other merchants like Cafe Coffee Day, PVR, ShopClues, Spencers also accept direct payment from Airtel payments Bank wallet.
APB and HPCL collaboration will be a new step in the commercial sector of Indian Business. Consequently, APB will have a good opportunity to increase its customer base. Meanwhile, this kind of deals attracts more customers to both the brands. But it is hard to predict the future of this deal and the benefits availed by the customers. Let’s hope that this tie up between APB and HPCL brings out the best for the customers and thus help in enhancing the national economic conditions.
